The Soviet Union and allies relationship began to unravel during WW11 due to their ideas on the future of Europe and ideological differences. The US was capitalists and Soviet Union was communism so each on one was a threat to another and didn't want either to spread making them not trust each other. When the Germans found out that the US had a defense group that supported the defenses against the threat of the SV military called NATO, they made a treaty of East Europeans nations known as the Warsaw pact. This made a huge distrust in each other.
